Okay-sorry for the delay on the pics, but here is a recap of the ones I have already posted if you are still interested…sorry they are not in order
The most frequently asked question before we left was how are you going to pack….you’re looking at it in the first pic—carrie, this pic is for you! Everything we brought for the next 5 months.
Stray cats (and dogs) are all over the place in Panama City. In Bocas it is mostly dogs. It doesn’t appear that most of them belong to anyone so I guess they are just multiplying.
Next, a picture of the high rise buildings behind Aaron in the downtown of Panama City.
There were policia on every corner in Panama City-Casco Viejo. We weren’t sure whether to feel safe or scared!
This is a typical pic of a random calle (street) with dos policia on duty.
The pool is another pic of a random calle and what the locals do for fun on the weekend! We took a day trip by ferry to Taboga, an island just offshore from Panama City.
This picture of me in front of the church is in the town of Tobaga, it is the second oldest church in the western hemisphere. Another day trip to the Panama Canal was amazing.
These are a few pics of the Miraflores Locks and a few freighters waiting in line to pass through.
It was also the Carnival celebration while we were there. Similar to Mardi Gras. No flashing going on, but be prepared to get sprayed with a water hose, sprayed with a water gun, sprayed with shaving cream or silly string, or sprayed with tiny pieces of confetti that sticks to you like glue! Yes, we experienced all of the above with the exception of the water hose, thankfully. This is a pic of one of the kids throwing confetti.
And last for you Bev! They even have Curves! This was right by the Albrook Airport in Panama City where we flew out of to get to Bocas del Toro.
