A view of the fantastic apartment we were able to stay in for our last 3 nights in BsAs! Thanks Carrie and Jerry!
The Tango is an Argentine passion. The San Telmo area seems to be a well-known area for it. We couldn't leave Buenos Aires without going to a show. Here is a pic of us at dinner before the show with our friends Carrie and Jerry who came for a visit!
The wind blown man. You may find him on the famous Florida Ave. The things people will do for money?? Too bad there is not a photo of him chasing me down to thank me for giving a couple of pesos!
Cemetary of Recoleta
Cemetary of the Recoleta. Streets and alleys separate the family mausoleums. The architecture of this place is amazing. Evita Peron is here.
We spent a bit of time in the subway. Public transporation is a wonderful thing.
A view of the city.

Palacio de Congreso. Modeled after Washington DC's capitol building, completed in 1906.
We spent a day in Buenos Aires before traveling to Bariloche. Then a couple more days before traveling to Uruguay. Then again a few more days after the Uruguay trip while visiting with friends.

Buenos Aires has definitely been the most developed city we have visited thus far, often considered more European than South American. It is filled with amazing architecture, loads of shopping, parks, museums, theater, and excellent food. We think some people may visit just for the food...fresh/homemade pastas, vegetarian, deserts, and of course-steak. It is also the largest city we have visited on this trip. It is made up of a bunch of small areas. Recoleta, Palermo, San Telmo, La Boca are a few of the main ones and we were able to get a taste of them all.
