A smoking volcano on the way to the Nicaragua-El Salvador border.
A view of our porch in Leon.
One of the markets in Masaya
July 9-July 10
From Granada we headed north again to Leon. We stopped in Masaya along the way. Masaya is where most of the artesenal handicrafts are made and there are a few large markets for shopping. Leon is another colonial city in Nicaragua, however most of the buildings have not been restored like in Granada, most of the business seem to be locally owned, and in turn it's not as touristy.
