Costa Rica-One border down, 7 more to go...

Sun setting over the Pacific in La Cruz, Costa Rica. Border town to Nicaragua.

Lychee's at a roadside stand

On our way to the border town of La Cruz on Friday, July 3 we had to stop at the bridge and see the crocodiles again. They look they haven't moved since we were here 5 years ago!

It doesn't take long to change the color of a car on these roads...
Since we have been to Costa Rica before, we decided to breeze through, staying only one night in a little surf town, Pavones.

July 1-3

We did first border crossing with the car on Wednesday. We have more paperwork than you can imagine (many thanks to the car's previous owner, Nicolas) in English and in Spanish explaining why Aaron has an AL drivers license, a GA passport, a car from Nebraska, and a car title in the name of another person. Yes, we did everything legally, it is all notarized, and we made it through.
